Master of Applied Finance
To attain the Master of Applied Finance you must successfully complete 12 subjects — 4 core subjects, 6 elective subjects and 2 compulsory subjects (FIN234 and FIN236) — within 5 years (15 trimesters). It is possible to achieve this qualification in 2 years (6 trimesters).
Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance
To attain the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance you must successfully complete 8 subjects — 4 core subjects and 4 elective subjects — within 4 years (12 trimesters). It is possible to achieve this qualification in just over 1 year (4 trimesters).
If you wish to pursue a higher Kaplan Professional qualification you can complete a further 4 subjects — 2 elective subjects and 2 compulsory subjects (FIN234 and FIN236) — to graduate with a Master of Applied Finance. You will need to complete the additional 4 subjects within 5 years (15 trimesters) of the date of your initial subject enrolment in the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance.
Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning
To attain the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning you must successfully complete 8 subjects — 4 core subjects and 4 financial planning subjects — within 4 years (12 trimesters). It is possible to achieve this qualification in just over 1 year (4 trimesters).
If you wish to pursue a higher Kaplan Professional qualification you can complete a further 4 subjects — 2 elective subjects and 2 compulsory subjects (FIN234 and FIN236) — to graduate with a Master of Applied Finance. You will need to complete the additional 4 subjects within 5 years (15 trimesters) of the date of your initial subject enrolment in the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning.
Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance
To attain the Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance you must successfully complete 4 core subjects within 3 years (9 trimesters). It is possible to achieve this qualification in eight months (2 trimesters).
If you wish to pursue higher Kaplan Professional qualifications you can complete a further 4 elective subjects to graduate with a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, a further 4 financial planning subjects to graduate with a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, or a further 8 subjects — 6 elective subjects and 2 compulsory subjects (FIN234 and FIN236) — to graduate with a Master of Applied Finance.
If you choose to upgrade to a Graduate Diploma you will need to complete the additional 4 subjects within 4 years (12 trimesters) of the date of your initial subject enrolment in the Graduate Certificate. If you choose to upgrade to the Master’s you will need to complete the additional 8 subjects within 5 years (15 trimesters) of the date of your initial subject enrolment in the Graduate Certificate.
