Kaplan Graduate: Michael Trobbiani

"After graduating from University and working as a Treasury Settlements Officer for a year, I decided I wanted to further develop my skills and was encouraged by my manager to enrol in the Kaplan Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance.

"With my Graduate Certificate completed in 2009, I chose to continue studying towards a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and completed another subject (Interest Rate Markets). It was around this time that I applied for a new job as an Investment Analyst, which I'm proud to say I got. I have no doubt that the Kaplan qualification I held and the additional study I was doing helped me secure the job, because Kaplan's courses are well known and respected in the industry.

"Since then I have continued my studies at my new workplace. I've even switched from studying the Graduate Diploma with the Financial Markets Major to studying the Investment Management Major so that my studies can better support me in my new role. I look forward to completing my next Kaplan qualification."

Michael has now decided to continue studying towards the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance. As a Graduate Diploma student, Michael has the choice of completing a Major in a particular area of professional practice, so he can tailor the qualification to meet his specific career goals. Michael has chosen to complete the Investment Management Major, and so far has taken the following subjects:
