9063 - Specialised Techniques in Technical Analysis

Never trade against the trend, but how do you know what the trend is? Like weather forecasting, technical analysis does not result in absolute predictions about the future. But it does anticipate what is highly likely to happen to the market over time.

Specialised Techniques in Technical Analysis introduces some of the most important and extensively used specialised techniques in technical analysis. Learn and develop skills in construction, interpretation, the application of specialised charting and the important theories that underlie these techniques. Practical examples are demonstrated via application of learnt techniques to a variety of markets.

Students will be encouraged to consider their analysis from the perspective of an ‘adviser’, rather than that of a ‘trader’ and will be tasked with constructing a report justifying the chosen analysis and strategies in a bid to convince the client to accept the recommended course of action.
