The ability to analyse and interpret financial statements is a vital skill for many finance industry professionals. Financial statements contain information essential for assessing business performance and identifying issues relating to the management of an organisation.

Applying common performance ratios to financial statements unlocks many of the secrets of a company’s financial condition. It also provides greater insight into a company’s true position for creditors, investors and shareholders.
