Commercial Lending for Mortgage Brokers

As the residential property market has levelled off, lending for commercial property transactions has been identified as a new playing field by many mortgage brokers. While the commercial market offers significant opportunities, commercial lending requires sophisticated technical knowledge and skill, and the ability to instil confidence in lenders.

This short course will give mortgage brokers a practical, comprehensive understanding of how to handle commercial deals and how to prepare successful loan applications.

Who should attend?

This short course is ideal for mortgage brokers whose primary experience is residential lending and who aim to broaden the range of services they offer to include commercial property transactions.

• You will learn to ask the right questions up-front in order to better understand the client and their needs and to accurately match the client with the right loan structure
• You will also examine the range of risk factors that lenders assess in commercial transactions, and become familiar with financial statements and their analysis to determine debt serviceability
