Who Should Enrol

Kaplan is a preferred provider of education for the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).  To attain Associate Credit Adviser (ACA) status with the MFAA, members must have completed a Certificate IV and be studying towards the Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management) FNS50504. 

The Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management) is ideal for:

  • new entrants to the industry
  • those who hold no formal mortgage broking qualification and are seeking Diploma status to meet ASIC's RG 206 training requirements
  • Certificate IV Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking) graduates seeking further qualification
  • finance and mortgage brokers seeking a further understanding of commercial financing.

What would I achieve upon completion?

Upon successful completion of this Diploma you will be able to:

  • understand commercial lending

Assessment

To gain the qualification, you must successfully complete:

  • 2 assignments
  • 2 exams
  • 1 Workplace Skills Assessment

Assignments must be submitted no later than four months from enrolment.  You have up to six months from enrolment to sit the final open-book exam.

If you are unsuccessful in an assessment (Not yet competent), you will have the opportunity to:

  • resit the exam (twice)
  • resubmit the assignment (once), please see the Assessment Policy for further details.
