Career Overview
Ben qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and Australia before specializing in treasury consulting at Price Waterhouse. He joined the Gandel Group in 1991 as Treasury and Financial Analysis Manager.
In 1994, Ben participated in the IPO of the Gandel Retail Trust and was actively involved in the growth of the Trust until 2002. He also participated in the merger of the Gandel Retail Trust with the Colonial Property Trust to create a multi billion dollar property joint venture in 2002.
Since 2002, Ben has been involved in the establishment and implementation of The Gandel Group’s non property investment platform.
Current Responsibilities
Ben’s current role is Director Global Investment responsible for implementation, investment and management of The Gandel Group’s global investment program across a broad range of international asset classes.
