Career Overview

Professor Drew commenced his career in stockbroking in 1991, holding positions in trading and research with Wilson HTM, JB Were & Son and Ord Minnett. In 1999 Michael joined academe and was a member of faculty at the Australian National University, Queensland University of Technology and, currently, Griffith University. Over the period 2007-2008, Michael took leave from the university sector and was appointed General Manager, Investment Services at QSuper, one of Australia's largest superannuation funds.

Michael's research interests are in the areas of superannuation/pensions and investment management, with his work being published in many leading journals, including the Journal of Portfolio Management.
