Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is a formal assessment process to assist applicants to gain exemptions toward the requirements for the NSW Certificate of Registration. It formally recognises the skills and knowledge earned by learning from other courses, life experience, work experience or any training provided at work. These components are then measured against the requirements of the program.

The RPL process requires the presentation of evidence to support claims for recognition of competency. The type of evidence that can be presented in support of an RPL application can take many different forms. It can be verbal, written or a demonstration of skill.
