To become a licensed real estate agent in ACT you must complete the relevant educational program and any other requirement as prescribed by the Access Canberra.
Kaplan Professional’s ACT Real Estate Licence Program meets these educational requirements and provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to work in the industry. Students who successfully complete Kaplan’s ACT Licence Program will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency:

Note: The Access Canberra issue all Certificates of Registration and Licences. Application forms can be downloaded from their website. Whilst all participants are provided with equal opportunity to complete their studies, some participants may not be able to obtain their Certificate of Registration or Licence with the Access Canberra.
In order to enrol in this ACT Licensing Program, you must have completed the units in the ACT Certificate of Registration program. A certified copy of your Statement of Attainment listing current units of competency must be provided upon enrolment. If you have not completed the Certificate of Registration units, you will be required to enrol into the ACT Certificate of Registration Program or apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for these units. Please refer to the Fees tab for additional costs which may apply.
All participants are provided with equal opportunity to complete their studies with Kaplan, however some participants may not be eligible to obtain their Certificate of Registration or Licence with the Access Canberra. Contact the Access Canberra website to ascertain eligibility requirements to obtain a real estate licence in the ACT.
This course requires you to read comprehensive learner workbooks, complete a range of written assessments, undertake independent research activities and at times engage in online forums and discussions. Furthermore, the delivery mode relies on the extensive use of written communication.

You are entitled to a total of two (2) attempts at your assessment. If you exhaust your assessment attempts you will need re-enrol into the program at an additional fee.
You may be entitled to receive Recognition of Prior Learning for existing knowledge and skills. RPL is a formal assessment process that recognises your current skill and knowledge. If you have the necessary experience and skill you may be competent in one or more of the units even though you have not completed recognised training.
RPL assessment will recognise what you know and apply it to the real estate program that you want to complete. This will reduce the time you need to spend studying and the number of units you need to complete.

Successful completion of the ACT Real Estate Licencing program is a partial completion of the qualification CPP40307 Certificate IV of Property Services (Real Estate).
Candidates who complete Kaplan’s ACT Real Estate Licence Program and also meet all the eligibility requirements of the Access Canberra will be able to apply for their real estate licence in ACT, and may also be able to open up their own agency.
