Designed for individuals who are ready to take their first step into a leadership and management role, this program will help build your leadership qualities, confidence and a foundation for career progression.
With the guidance of a personal online coach, you will explore your potential and develop your own unique leadership characteristics to ensure you’re well equipped to lead in today’s fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
This program comprises three subjects:
On completion of the Aspiring Leaders Program, you will be awarded the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Leadership & Management (BSB42015).

As part of the Aspiring Leaders Program, you will have access to a personal online coach.
The online coach is an experienced professional who will assist and guide your learning. At key milestones throughout each subject, you will have the opportunity to submit your work and ask for help, share thoughts and decisions, and receive feedback via phone or Skype.
You will have access to your online coach at the following milestones for each subject:
The personalised feedback session will be conducted for approximately 30 minutes. In addition, you will have access to the Leadership and Management Community where you are able to meet your peers, share ideas and resources, and post any questions you may have to the community.

Gary is a self-motivated and passionate leadership and management facilitator with over 30 years’ experience in various leadership and management roles. With a strong reputation for engaging audiences and meeting milestones, he is highly skilled and experienced in managing the change process of individuals and teams in the training environment. He possesses flexibility, well-honed skills, deep insight, and a thorough understanding of human motivation, and highly developed communication and presentation skills with a flair for influencing, persuading and building rapport.
His facilitation style is engaging, entertaining and highly interactive, and is focused on integrating the new learning quickly and efficiently so participants can immediately apply this new learning effectively. As a people development specialist, his ultimate goal and passion is to transform learner’s raw potential and talent into refined performance excellence.
Develop Your Leadership and Management Skills
Your success as a leader and manager is often based on the foundation skills you develop. This subject focuses on ensuring you develop the foundation leadership and management skills you need to succeed in leadership and management roles.
Support and Manage Team Performance
You will learn about managing and maximising the performance of the people and the teams you work with.
Implement Operational Plans and Processes
In this subject, you will learn how to effectively use limited resources available to you to implement plans, achieve goals, manage risks, and prepare a continuous improvement plans for your area of the organisation.

You may enrol into this program at any time and begin studying immediately on enrolment.
There are no entry requirements for this course.
There are no exemptions for this program.

You have up to 12 months to complete the course. This program has three (3) subjects. You have a total of 12 weeks to complete the assessment requirements for each subject.

|3. Implement operational plans and processes||12 weeks + *4 weeks extension|
Students should expect to spend up to 10 hours a week depending on their experience completing their readings, online topics and activities, completing the learning questions and activities and submitting their assignment. All readings required are found in the textbook Management: Theory and practice by Kris Cole (6th edition); and in the online topics, activities and other media.
*An additional four weeks (4) per subject is available if students are required to resubmit an assignment.
The course is delivered online. Kaplan Professional’s online learning portal, KapLearn, enables us to provide you with innovative, interactive learning resources and support. You can access KapLearn from anywhere at any time using a computer or mobile device that has internet access. KapLearn is where you access the learning material, activities and assessments, as well as access ongoing support.
The course textbook Management: Theory and practice by Kris Cole (6th edition) is provided on enrolment.
There are three (3) assignments for this program; one (1) for each subject.
Kaplan Professional assignments
You must submit your assignment within 12 weeks of your enrolment date.
If your first submission is deemed ‘not yet competent’ you are required to resubmit it. You will only need to resubmit the question(s) that do not have the demonstrated knowledge requirement. If a resubmission is required, it must be within 16 weeks of your enrolment date. More detailed information about the assignments can be found in the Program Outline.
English language requirements
This program requires you to read comprehensive learner workbooks, complete a range of written assessments, undertake independent research activities and at times engage in online forums and discussions. Furthermore, the delivery mode relies on the extensive use of written communication.
