To become a licensed auctioneer in QLD you must complete the relevant educational program and any other requirement as prescribed by QLD Office of Fair Trading.
Kaplan Professional’s QLD Auctioneer’s Licence Program meets these educational requirements and provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to work in the industry. Students who successfully complete Kaplan’s Program will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency:
Note: QLD Office of Fair Trading issue all Certificates of Registration and Licences. Application forms can be downloaded from their website. Whilst all participants are provided with equal opportunity to complete their studies, some participants may not be able to obtain their Certificate of Registration or Licence with QLD Office of Fair Trading.

This course requires you to read comprehensive learner workbooks, complete a range of written assessments, undertake independent research activities and at times engage in online forums and discussions. Furthermore, the delivery mode relies on the extensive use of written communication.

Access to the course will be provided for 12 months from your enrolment date, however you may complete the course at any time prior to the expiry date.

You are entitled to a total of two (2) attempts at your assessment. If you exhaust your assessment attempts you will need re-enrol into the program at a fee.
You may be entitled to receive Recognition of Prior Learning for existing knowledge and skills. RPL is a formal assessment process that recognises your current skill and knowledge. If you have the necessary experience and skill you may be competent in one or more of the units even though you have not completed recognised training.
RPL assessment will recognise what you know and apply it to the real estate program that you want to complete. This will reduce the time you need to spend studying and the number of units you need to complete.

The education can be formal such as diplomas or degrees from recognised educational institutions or informal training such as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) attendance at conferences or seminars or franchise training – in fact any learning whatsoever can be recognised.

Upon successful completion of the Auctioneer’s Licence Program, you will have gained 5 units of competency which also form part of the QLD Real Estate Licence requirements Consider Kaplan’s QLD Real Estate Licensing Program , to receive Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the units you have already completed, and obtain additional units towards your Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).
Candidates who complete Kaplan’s QLD Auctioneers Licence Program and also meet all the eligibility requirements of QLD Office of Fair Trading will be able to apply for their Auctioneers Licence in QLD.
