Are you looking at obtaining your real estate licence in NSW? Would you like to open your own agency?

Kaplan Professional’s online NSW Real Estate Licensing Program is ideal if you wish to obtain your real estate licence and further your real estate knowledge.

It provides you with in-depth knowledge about aspects of general real estate, including:

  • Property appraisals
  • Property sales
  • Leasing and Management of rental properties
  • Trust accounting
  • Managing finance and staff in an agency

On successful completion, individuals will be awarded a CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) which meets the educational application requirements of NSW Fair Trading’s licence.

Benefits for you:

  • Many employees in real estate only do the registration level training (entry level) and continue to work for several years with only this training. As an employee, having completed a real estate licensing course may lead to better chances of promotion within an agency, including employment as a licensee or manager of the agency.
  • With your own licence, you can take up business opportunities such as opening your own real estate business, or operate your ‘own business within a business’ to manage the rent roll of an agency (i.e. management of a portfolio of rental properties).
  • Clients will be able to see that you’re qualified, knowledgeable and committed to your profession.
  • Real Estate can be a very busy and stressful job at times. Being able to study online, in your own time, without the need to attend face-to-face classes, can relieve some of this pressure. With the flexibility of this online course, you can prioritise your time and work at your own pace.

Kaplan Professional can also provide further training in the form of Continuing Professional Development (CPD ) to build your confidence and credibility in the property industry, as well as provide the mandatory requirements for licence or registration renewal. Once you have a real estate licence, you may also like to add an auctioneer accreditation to your qualification by completing our Auctioneer Accreditation Program.

You may be entitled to receive Recognition of Prior Learning for existing knowledge and skills. RPL is a formal assessment process that recognises your current skill and knowledge. If you have the necessary experience and skill you may be competent in one or more of the units even though you have not completed recognised training.

RPL assessment will recognise what you know and apply it to the real estate program that you want to complete. This will reduce the time you need to spend studying and the number of units you need to complete.

The assessment process looks at your:

  • real estate experience
  • experiences gained throughout your working life
  • any education or training you have completed and applies this to the units required to complete your chosen real estate program.

The education can be formal such as diplomas or degrees from recognised educational institutions or informal training such as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) attendance at conferences or seminars or franchise training – in fact any learning whatsoever can be recognised.
