Kaplan Professional’s online WA Registration Program (Sales) is ideal if you wish to obtain your sales representative registration or further your real estate knowledge.
You will obtain an in-depth overview of the property industry in WA, including the relevant legislation and compliance aspects, an introductory understanding of both the sales and property management aspects of working in real estate, as well as learning about the listing and marketing of properties for sale; knowledge which will assist you to get off to a successful running start in your first role.
Successful completion meets the educational requirement for Department of Commerce WA to apply for registration to work in the property sector.

This is an entry-level course to commence a career in real estate in WA. We can provide CPD training to build your confidence and credibility as a new entrant in the property industry, as well as CPD to meet the elective requirements of Department of Commerce WA registration and licence renewal.
Please note: It is a Department of Commerce WA requirement that you must apply for registration within one year of completing your Agent Representative Program.
You may also decide you want to hold the full real estate agent licence. Successful completion of Kaplan Professional’s WA Real Estate Licence Program – CPP50307 Diploma of Property Services (Agency Management) – meets the educational requirements needed for application to Department of Commerce WA for an Individual Real Estate Agent Licence.

To become a registered sales representative in WA you must complete the relevant educational program and any other requirement as prescribed by WA Department of Commerce – Consumer Protection.
Kaplan Professional’s WA Registration Program (Sales) will give you the education required to apply for registration, and also provide you with the fundamental entry level knowledge required to commence a successful career in sales or property management.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency:

You are entitled to a total of two (2) attempts at your assessment. If you exhaust your assessment attempts you will need re-enrol into the program at an additional fee.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
You may be entitled to receive Recognition of Prior Learning for existing knowledge and skills. RPL is a formal assessment process that recognises your current skill and knowledge. If you have the necessary experience and skill you may be competent in one or more of the units even though you have not completed recognised training.
RPL assessment will recognise what you know and apply it to the real estate program that you want to complete. This will reduce the time you need to spend studying and the number of units you need to complete.
The assessment process looks at your:
The education can be formal such as diplomas or degrees from recognised educational institutions or informal training such as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) attendance at conferences or seminars or franchise training – in fact any learning whatsoever can be recognised.
Assessment of knowledge and skills
Your skills and knowledge will be assessed by a qualified assessor. The assessor has both the education, real estate qualifications and experience to conduct the RPL assessment.
You will need to provide a portfolio of evidence that outlines your skill, experience and training. An evidence checklist will be provided so that you can gather sufficient evidence.
You enrol into the RPL assessment process with Kaplan Professional. We will then send you the necessary documents and organise for an assessor to contact you and assist and guide you through the whole process. In conjunction with the assessor, you need to determine which units you will apply for; you then collect your evidence and submit it with your RPL application form and payment. RPL works more effectively if all your evidence and your application form are supplied at us at the same time.
You have 6 months to submit you evidence from the date of application. If your evidence is not received in this timeframe, payment of another application fee is required.
The evidence is assessed by the assessor who will then contact you with the results and to organise an interview if required.
The interview (if required)
The interview is a supportive discussion. You may need to discuss your evidence with the assessor and to explore further your claim for competence in a unit or units. This interview is to assist you to gain the maximum results possible.
On completion of the RPL assessment you will be issued with one of the following results:

The seven units of competency obtained upon successful completion of this program also form part of the WA Real Estate Agent and Business Agent Licence requirements. Consider Kaplan’s WA Real Estate and Business Agent Licensing Program , to receive Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the units you have already completed, and to obtain your full Diploma of Property Services (Agency Management).
Candidates who complete this program and also meet all the eligibility requirements of WA Department of Commerce – Consumer Protection will be able to apply for their sales representative registration in WA.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
CPD is essential to renewing your sales representative registration and staying up to date with industry changes. Kaplan offers online CPD programs for 7 elective CPD Points required under the Department of Commerce. A total of 10 points are required to meet the renewal requirements.
