This course is designed to enhance an individual’s understanding of the main financial statements, including:
Throughout the course, practical examples are used to enable individuals to closely examine different financial statements and analysis methods for organisations. Information is broken down into ratio analysis and the techniques used in analysing the financial position of an organisation, which provides individuals the knowledge to interpret current and potential future performance.
On completion of this course, individuals will gain an understanding of profit, cashflow and other major accounting issues.
This course is suitable for individuals already experienced in retail mortgage and/or financial planning who wish to deepen their knowledge of the considerations required when providing finance to organisations.

This course is delivered online via Kaplan Professional’s learning management system KapLearn.
You will receive login details to KapLearn upon enrolment. When you log on to KapLearn you are able to access the subject notes, assessments, additional learning materials such as media, case studies, practice activities and your online tutor.
Assessments are accessed and submitted through KapLearn.

Seven (7) Online Quizzes (one per topic)
Unsupervised, multiple choice quizzes- unlimited attempts.
Individuals must complete all seven (7) online quizzes within 12 weeks of their initial activation date and achieve a pass rate of 75% in each, to successfully complete this course.
Individuals who complete Understanding and Analysing Financial Statements will be able to print a certificate of completion from their online subject room.
