Bullying could happen anytime in any workplace, and the consequences for those involved and the wider organisation can be significant. Through a series of different scenarios this module will educate you about what bullying means, the impact it has and what you can do in your role to help prevent it in the workplace.
After completing this module, you’ll be able to:
Security is of major concern as our data is exposed through the use of websites, emails, social media sites, and applications for both our work and personal life. This module will help you understand how to protect yourself and your organisation against cyber-attacks.
It is important for employers to provide an equitable and diverse working environment which encourages respectful and supportive working relationships between all employees. For this to occur all employees should be encouraged to be positive and active contributors to a flexible and fair workplace. This module will give you the opportunity to demonstrate this by working through a broad range of scenarios advising work colleagues on difficult workplace situations which challenge equity and diversity.
Fraud involves deliberate deceptive or dishonest acts for personal gain which can have far reaching negative impacts on individuals, organisations and the community. This module will improve your knowledge of fraud by giving you practice in identifying the red flags that could indicate fraud is taking place.
This module explores what constitutes wellbeing, the factors that affect it and how to proactively promote positive wellbeing in the workplace. It also includes strategies to support one’s own positive wellbeing. A series of interactive scenarios will assist employees and leaders to identify signs of concern, how to interact with honesty, empathy and respect, and identify potential actions that can be taken to support individuals experiencing mental health issues in the workplace.
After completing the module, you’ll be able to:
Criminal acts in Australia impact people and communities, both at home and overseas. In this module you will learn about money laundering and terrorism financing practices, as well as the actions you and your organisation must take to identify and report these crimes.
This module will give you an appreciation of everyone’s right to privacy and how, by law, personal information must be protected in the workplace. You will be guided through a series of relevant case studies that demonstrate the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) that govern how organisations must handle personal information, and how you must apply them in your day to day role in your workplace.
This module looks at the impact social media has on organisations and why it is important to abide by workplace guidelines when using the different social media platforms in order to ensure it is used safely and within what is acceptable for the workplace. You’ll be guided through a series of relevant scenarios which involve viewing, updating and posting while avoiding the dangers of social media use for you and your organisation.
