Kaplan Professional’s Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307 qualification is ideal if you wish to be employed as an agent’s representative in Victoria or to further your real estate knowledge.
You will gain an introductory understanding of the property industry in Victoria, both the sales and property management aspects of working in real estate, as well as learning interpersonal communication techniques and strategies that will assist you to get off to a successful start in your first role.
Successful completion meets the educational requirement for Consumer Affairs Victoria to apply for registration to work as an agent representative in the property sector in Victoria.
Part 1: VIC Agent’s Representative Program and Part 2: VIC Estate Agents Licence Program need to be completed to be awarded the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307.

Individuals have a total of 26 weeks (6 months) to complete the learning and assessment requirements for the VIC Agents Representative Program from their initial activation date.
Extensions are available at an additional cost.
Individuals have a further 26 weeks (6 months) to complete the learning and assessment requirements for the VIC Estate Agent’s Licence Program from their initial activation date.
Individuals therefore have a total of 52 weeks (12 months) to complete the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307.
There are no entry requirements for this course.
This course requires you to read comprehensive learner workbooks, complete a range of written assessments, undertake independent research activities and at times engage in online forums and discussions. Furthermore, the delivery mode relies on the extensive use of written and oral communication.

To become an Agent’s Representative in Victoria, you must complete the relevant educational program and any other requirement as prescribed by Consumer Affairs Victoria.
To become a licensed estate agent, you must have gained the equivalent of at least one year’s full-time experience as an agent’s representative in the three years immediately before applying for a licence. You must also complete the relevant educational program and any other requirement as prescribed by Consumer Affairs Victoria.
Kaplan Professional’s Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307 meets these educational requirements and will give you the education required to register with the Business Licensing Authority, and also provide you with the fundamental entry level knowledge required to work in sales or property management.
Individuals who successfully complete Part 1 Victoria Agent representative will receive the following units of competency:
Individuals who successfully complete Part 2 will receive a Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307 with the following units of competency:

Note: Whilst all participants are provided with equal opportunity to complete their studies, some participants may not be able to obtain their Representative or Licence with Consumer Affairs Victoria.

The type of assessments for each subject are listed below. Units of competency are individually assessed within subjects, as listed in ‘Units of competency’.
• Oral – oral response to questions and a role-play, two (2) attempts.
The mode of oral assessment is by audio for Part 1 and phone/skype with an assessor for Part 2. As part of the course requirements, individuals will need to find a volunteer to assist with their role play in the oral assignment for Part 1 and an appointment process with an assessor will apply for Part 2.
Individuals may attempt the quizzes and/or submit their written assignments at any time if they believe they are adequately prepared. The Oral Assignment may be attempted when all other subjects are completed. Individuals will receive personal reminder emails as they approach their enrolment expiry deadline.
Individuals must be deemed competent in all assessment items, including demonstrating competency in all of the quiz questions, in order to be awarded their Statement of Attainment.

You may be entitled to obtain Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for previous study and/or work experience. RPL is a formal assessment process that recognises your current skill and knowledge. To do this, you must submit evidence that demonstrates that you have already met the requirements of the subject through these other means.
