Exams

An online proctored exam is a supervised exam that’s completed online from any location, such as your home or office using a computer or laptop. Online proctored exams have the same rules and regulations as normal exams, so you’ll be monitored throughout the duration of the assessment. A proctor will verify your identity and can provide support during the exam if required.

Higher Education
Exams for higher education subjects are now completed online via ProctorU. We’ve partnered with ProctorU to facilitate the invigilation of our exams, allowing you the flexibility to complete your exam online in the comfort of your own home or office without the need to attend a public venue. To book your exam, you’ll need to refer to your KapLearn subject room for the subject you wish to schedule your exam for.

Once you’ve accessed the subject room:

  1. Select the ‘Assessment’ tab
  2. Click the ‘Exam’ tile option
  3. Select the green button labelled ‘Exam details’. This page will provide you with more information about ProctorU and how you can schedule your exam.

There are several benefits to online proctored exams, such as:

  • The flexibility to complete exams in the comfort of your own home or office
  • Completing your exam in a familiar and quiet environment can help concentration
  • Allows you to avoid travel and exam venues, which can help reduce stress and anxiety
  • Exams are completed using a computer, so you can type and simply edit answers before submitting
  • The exams are secure and supervised – a proctor will verify your identity, can monitor your activity to avoid cheating, and provide support during the exam
  • Your privacy is a priority and the online provider will adhere to Australian security and privacy requirements
