Women in Finance Scholarships

Kaplan Professional is delighted to partner again with the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) to offer 12 Women in Finance Scholarships in 2023, including:

The purpose of the scholarship scheme is to support and encourage women of all backgrounds and circumstances to enter (or re-enter) the industry and achieve leadership roles across the finance and financial services sector.

About the sponsor

The FAAA is the primary membership organisation for financial planning practitioners who want to master the practice of financial planning, and are committed to shaping the future of the profession.

As part of this continued commitment to excellence and with support from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Office for Women, the FAAA wish to provide meaningful equity opportunities for students pursuing finance and economics education.

Higher education scholarship details

Value: Up to $5,000 or the equivalent of two higher education subjects.

There are eight higher education scholarships available. The scholarship will be paid directly towards the recipient’s tuition fees for any two subject enrolments in Kaplan Professional’s Master of Applied Finance or Master of Financial Planning to be commenced prior to 31 December 2023. The scholarship is available to women commencing higher education study or those who wish to continue their studies in the Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance, Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning or Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning.

Vocational education scholarship details

Value: Up to $2,160 or the equivalent of the full course.

There are four vocational education scholarships available. The scholarship will be paid directly towards the recipient’s tuition fees for the full course in Kaplan Professional’s FNS60920 Advanced Diploma of Paraplanning to be commenced prior to 30 June 2023. The scholarship is available to women commencing the course.

Important information

The FAAA Women in Finance Scholarships are designed to support women with disadvantaged circumstances. Applicants will be considered based on their ability to demonstrate one or more sources of disadvantage, including but not limited to:

  • Financial need
  • Low socio-economic status
  • Re-entering the workforce
  • Mature or young age
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • New migrant
  • Residing in a rural or remote area

 

To be eligible, you must:

  • Identify as a woman
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
  • Be commencing Kaplan Professional’s Master of Applied Finance, Master of Financial Planning or FNS60920 Advanced Diploma of Paraplanning

Higher education scholarship details 

Scholarships will be awarded for Study Period 3 2023, Study Period 4 2023, Study Period 5 2023 and Study Period 6 2023, and must be paid directly towards the recipient’s tuition fees by 31 December 2023. Key dates for each intake can be found here.
