The foreign exchange market is the largest, most active financial market in the world. Thousands of people trade across different time zones 24 hours a day. This market underpins the operation of the global economy by serving the needs of international traders and investors.

Understanding the fundamental principles that guide the buying and selling of currencies is vital to appreciating this dynamic market.
