This topic equips financial advisers with the emotional intelligence skills needed to thrive in client relationships. Through self-regulation, empathy, resilience and reflective practice, advisers learn to manage stress, engage authentically,and grow professionally in a people-focused advice role, balancing emotional insight with the emerging influence of artificial intelligence.
What you will achieve:
This topic is designed for completion over six weeks, with up to 12 weeks’ access for flexibility.
Content is divided into six modules, ideally completing one per week, making learning manageable and supporting steady progress.
Each module includes practical activities and assignments based on real-world financial advice scenarios, helping participants apply key concepts and build job-ready skills.
Advisers in the Professional Year receive 20 hours of structured training per topic; existing advisers gain five hours of CPD. Advisers who successfully complete all requirements of the topic will be awarded a certificate of completion.
There are no specific due dates for activities. Participants progress, complete and submit activities as they go. However, it is recommended that each activity be completed according to order laid out.
