This topic builds practical client engagement capability through real-world application. You will develop the skills to establish trust and credibility, apply socially-responsible advice including environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations, and recognise how client behaviours and biases influence financial decisions.
You will strengthen your ability to communicate the value of advice, use technology securely while maintaining personal connection, and engage effectively with diverse clients. The topic concludes with the development of a client engagement plan aligned to professional and regulatory expectations.
What will you achieve
This topic is designed to be completed over six (6) weeks, with access available for up to 12 weeks to accommodate flexibility.
Advisers undertaking the Professional Year will receive 20 hours of structured training per topic.
Advisers who successfully complete all requirements of the topic will be awarded a certificate of completion.
There are no specific due dates for activities. Advisers progress, complete and submit activities as they go. However, it is recommended that each activity be completed according to order laid out.
