When and where are the 2025 Graduation Ceremonies being held?

The Graduation Ceremonies for students who successfully completed their qualification between Study Period 1 2025 and Study Period 6 2025, as well as the three intensive study periods, will take place across five cities in 2026.

Graduates will be sent a Save the Date once dates have been confirmed.

The cities hosting the Graduation events are:

Perth | Tuesday, 1 September

Adelaide | Thursday, 3 September

Melbourne | Tuesday, 8 September

Brisbane | Thursday, 10 September

Sydney | Thursday, 17 September

Graduation ceremonies are held in central CBD locations and run for approximately two hours.

I have graduated. How do I RSVP?

You will only be able to RSVP once you have received the email invite to RSVP, you will then have access to the “My Graduation’ section within your Student Portal where you will complete the form.

Please note, you will only receive this email invite if you are part of the eligible cohort.

When will I receive my Graduation Ceremony invitation?

RSVP invitations to those graduated between Study Period 1 and Study Period 6 2025, including the spring and summer intensives, will be sent in June 2026.

Please ensure your email address is up to date in your Student Portal.

  • Students who complete between Study Period 1 2026 and Study Period 6 2026, including the Quarter 1 2026 Intensive, will be invited to ceremonies in 2027.

You will be asked to accept your invitation by submitting your response within a RSVP form and paying the non-refundable booking processing fee/s via your Student Portal.

Where are they held?

Graduation ceremonies are held in CBD locations across Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Once you receive your official invitation, you can select which city you prefer to attend your ceremony in.

What time is Graduation held?

Our Graduation Ceremonies are held in the evening, allowing graduands who work full-time to attend.

How much does it cost to attend?

A $75 (GST incl.,) non-refundable booking processing fee is required when accepting your RSVP.

Each booking covers you and and two (2) guest places, catering (food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks), the ceremony and digital photographs.

  • You can purchase up to three (3) additional adult guest places for $75 each (subject to availability and venue capacity).
  • Minors aged 17 and under do not incur a booking fee but will count toward the total guest limit.

What does the booking fee include?

Your $75 (incl., GST) booking covers:

  • A place for you and two guests
  • Drinks and canapés
  • A congratulatory scroll
  • Digital professional photos from the night

Additional adult guest places ($75 each) include:

  • A place at the ceremony
  • Drinks and canapes

Why is there a booking processing fee to attend Graduation?

The booking processing fee helps us plan a well-organised celebration by ensuring RSVPs are committed, reducing empty seats, and better managing venue capacity, catering and guest experiences.

We want to ensure we create a memorable and high-quality event for everyone!

How many guests can I bring?

Each graduand can bring up to five guests in total (subject to venue capacity/availability).

  • Two guests are complimentary
  • You may book up to three (3) additional guest places (aged 18+) subject to availability / venue capacity limits
  • Minors (aged 17 and under) do not incur an additional booking fee but must be accompanied by a responsible adult guest (not the graduand) – guests who are minors will count towards your total guest capacity.

The total number of places that each graduand can book is capped at six (6).

Can I receive my testamur before Graduation?

Yes.

Testamurs are posted approximately six (6) weeks after you complete your qualification. You do not need to attend the ceremony to receive your certificate.

Please ensure your postal address is up to date in your Student Portal.

What can I expect at my Graduation Ceremony?

The Ceremony will feature:

  • A welcome from Kaplan Professional’s executive leadership team
  • Guest and/or student speaker addresses
  • Presentation of a congratulatory scroll
  • Recognition of the National Dux for each qualification and highest performing students
  • Drinks and canapé service at the conclusion, offering networking opportunities

Will there be a photographer at the Ceremony?

Yes!

A professional photographer will capture:

  • Each graduand receiving their scroll on stage
  • Candid moments with guests before and after the ceremony

Photos will be available to download via a website link that will be emailed to those that RSVP’d as attending approximately 48 hours after the ceremony.

How long does it go for?

The evening will run for approximately two hours.

Can I bring family and friends along to the Ceremony?

We encourage our graduates to celebrate with friends and family. To accept your invitation and attend the ceremony, a non-refundable booking processing fee applies.

Each graduand is allowed two (2) complimentary guests to accompany them. Subject to venue capacity limits, you may also invite up to three (3) additional adult guests (aged 18 and over), each of whom will incur an individual booking processing fee. Additional guest places are available on a first come first served basis.

For graduands that would like to invite one or more child(ren) aged 17 and under (minors), a responsible adult must accompany them, as the Graduand cannot be the responsible adult due to their commitments. Minors will not incur a booking processing fee.

The total possible number of places per graduand (including the graduand themselves) is capped at six (6).

Can I bring children to the Ceremony?

Yes, you are welcome to bring guests aged 17 or under.

  • Minors must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult guest (over 18)– the graduand cannot fulfil this role
  • Guests who are minors will not incur an additional booking processing fee; however, will count toward the total guest capacity permitted per graduand
  • ID may be requested at the venue and wristbands may be issued for those under 18 due to the service of alcohol

Can I change my RSVP response or add more guests?

Yes, you can update your RSVP at any time before the due date listed in your invitation email. The form includes a ‘Save and Continue’ option, so you can return and make changes as often as needed before submitting before the due date.

Please note: once you reach the payment page for the Graduation Ceremony booking processing fee, you will not be able to make any further changes. Before proceeding to payment, you will be asked to confirm all your details are correct.

What happens if I cannot attend my Graduation Ceremony?

You are welcome to attend a ceremony in another city if you cannot attend the one originally allocated to you (you can select this in your RSVP).

It is not possible to defer your attendance to future ceremonies.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?

No.

All booking processing fees are non-refundable.
