Sarah Carli
Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning alumna

Sarah Carli is a Financial Adviser with HLB Mann Judd’s wealth management team in Wollongong, where she supports clients with strategic advice across superannuation, investments and long-term financial planning. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Management from the University of Wollongong and was awarded Kaplan Professional’s 2024 Dux for the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, reflecting her academic excellence and commitment to the profession.

 

Alongside her finance career, Sarah is an elite 400m hurdler and two-time Olympian, representing Australia at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Her experience balancing high-performance sport with a demanding professional career gives her a unique perspective on resilience, discipline and goal-setting. Sarah is passionate about supporting and inspiring women pursuing careers in finance.

Nawreen June
Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning alumna

With over 23 years of experience across aged care, financial services, and entrepreneurship, Nawreen brings a compassionate, culturally informed, and purpose-driven approach to her work. Her journey began upon arriving in Australia, where she worked as a Personal Care Assistant in a nursing home—an experience shaped by being raised by her grandparents and developing a deep respect for elder care.

 

Since 2005, she has worked in the financial industry, supporting individuals and families to make informed financial decisions, and is currently completing her Professional Year in financial planning with a strong focus on aged care advice. In early 2025, she founded Ausba Care Services Pvt Ltd in Bangladesh, providing low cost training and home-care services while creating employment opportunities.

 

Alongside this, she also manages a mortgage business in Australia. Her mission is to become a trusted specialist aged care adviser, helping families navigate care with confidence and compassion.

Janice Wong
Master of Applied Finance

Janice Wong is a Director at BDO’s Audit & Assurance practice in Sydney, specialising in internal controls, banking remediation programs, and APRA/ASIC compliance reviews.

 

With a background spanning financial advice, banking, and risk transformation, Janice brings a practical, end-to-end perspective on governance, regulatory change, and control uplift. She began her career as a Financial Adviser at Macquarie Bank and ANZ before transitioning into risk and remediation in 2019, where she has since led complex remediation and assurance programs across large financial services organisations.

 

Janice has completed her full professional education pathway through Kaplan Professional, progressing from the Diploma of Financial Planning through to a Master of Applied Finance.

 

She is a strong advocate for lifelong learning and is passionate about how education enables professionals and organisations to adapt and thrive in an evolving regulatory and business landscape.
