Payments

For higher education courses: you only pay for the subjects you’ve enrolled into in each study period. This means you can pay as you go on a subject-to-subject basis with subject fees for the duration of your qualification.

To make studying with Kaplan Professional more accessible, our higher education courses are approved for FEE-HELP by the Australian Government’s Department of Education, Skills and Employment. FEE-HELP is a Commonwealth Government loan available to help you paying part or all of your tuition fees, so you don’t need to pay to study upfront. This helps many of our students reduce the burden of cost, while they’re focused on raising and supporting their family.

To learn more about using FEE-HELP while studying with Kaplan Professional, please click here.

Should you wish, you can also pay your subject fees upfront.

All fees will need to be approved by FEE-HELP or paid in full before the census date of each study period.

For more information on FEE-HELP or assistance with applying, please feel free to contact our knowledgeable Student Advice team on 1300 135 798 (option 1) or studentadvice@kaplan.edu.au.

For vocational education courses: fees are paid up-front upon enrolment. Vocational education is not eligible for FEE-HELP.

For more information on vocational education fees, we encourage you to contact our Student Services team 1300 662 203 (option 1) or mail@kaplan.edu.au.

Kaplan Professional’s vocational education courses aren’t eligible for FEE-HELP. Full courses fees will need to be paid upfront on enrolment.

Our postgraduate qualifications are approved for AUSTUDY, ABSTUDY and Youth Allowance. However, the Master of Applied Finance is approved for ABSTUDY only. These schemes provide financial assistance for full-time students. Please visit the Centrelink website for further information and application forms.

Higher education

FEE-HELP is a Commonwealth Government loan available to help you pay part or all of your tuition fees. You’re required to repay your FEE-HELP loan through the taxation system once your income exceeds the government’s compulsory repayment threshold. The current repayment threshold can be found on the government’s StudyAssist website.

FEE-HELP is only available for higher education courses.

Vocational education

Kaplan Professional’s vocational education courses aren’t eligible for FEE-HELP.

To receive FEE-HELP, you must meet the eligibility requirements as detailed below:

  • Be an Australian citizen and study at least part of your course in Australia
  • Be a New Zealand Special Category visa (SCV) holder or permanent humanitarian visa holder and meet the residency requirements
  • Be enrolled in a fee-paying place at a provider that offers FEE-HELP loans
  • Be enrolled in an eligible course at your provider by the census date (your provider can tell you if your course is eligible)
  • Submit the Request for FEE-HELP form to your provider by the census date
  • Not have already borrowed up to your FEE-HELP limit

To apply for FEE-HELP, you’ll need to read the FEE-HELP information booklet provided by the Australian government. To get a FEE-HELP loan, you’ll need a tax file number (TFN).

If you’re not eligible for FEE-HELP, all tuition fees are required to be paid upfront. To discuss your individual circumstances, please feel free to contact our Student Advice team on 1300 135 798 (option 1) or studentadvice@kaplan.edu.au.

Kaplan Professional understands anyone can experience financial difficulty at any time. We want to be able to support our students to achieve their education and career goals, no matter the circumstances. If you’re suffering from financial hardship that may impact on your ability to pay your tuition fees, you’re encouraged to discuss your situation with us. On a case-by-case basis, we’ll look at ways to support you. If you’d like more information, please feel free to contact us.
